Being a person whose attitude is not of this time and slowly turn and accept a more "proper" attitude and language ( while still making stupid mistakes, and being "man" enough to apologize, for example) would make him so much better.I am anybody who played enough with Wang now just how hillarous and nice would it be if he accidentally triggered or offended someone ( maybe a trans character since we might be as well getting woke) in a most cringe inducing laugh out loud on how stupid and ignorant this is, noticing that he has put too much Wang in it and then just genuinely apologize since his way of speaking tends to be his defensive/coping mechanism. Makes me want to know more about what made him like that. It makes the points where he shows the genuine care (SH1) and talks about his past good things (SH2) feel more like there is a more kinder person underneath that all Wang. I mean you can have a "good" guy and still have him be a bigot. I liked how in both Shadow Warrior 1 and Shadow Warrior 2 Wang was a "hero" but also an arsehole, it made him unique. I might be in the minority but the insensitive and blatantly stereotypical and racist cringe and downright "so bad that it is funny" jokes where what I liked about the character. Humour is an integral part of the series, and we never want to lose that, but both we and Devolver agreed back in 2012 that much of the “humour” in the original game simply doesn’t belong in the games we make today. When re-designing Lo Wang we made a conscious decision to update him as a younger, more switched on character that would be more appealing to today’s audience and shifted the humour more toward pop cultural references that Players can relate to, like movies and video games. What’s Flying Wild Hog’s approach to Shadow Warrior’s sense of humour? Has that developed over the course of the series? What’s happened over the course of the last few years that’s changed things, or provided new material for jokes? Very hyped for the Shadow Warrior 3 so I was reading around and found:
